So what are some of the biggest challenges that non-residents face when buying property (0:04) in Switzerland? And how do you help clients navigate those? (0:09) Oh, that's a good question. One of my biggest challenges is setting the right expectations. (0:15) I have clients that call me, I'm looking for a ski-in, ski-out, freestanding chalet, (0:20) on the slopes, five bedrooms, four bathrooms, multiple garages.
The chat is one million. (0:25) Which is totally unrealistic. (0:27) Well, first of all, you cannot buy it because it's probably too big.
You are over 200 (0:34) square meters. You are over the plot side. And even if it is there, it's not on the market.
(0:43) So that is probably the biggest challenge that most of my clients have. They said, (0:48) well, I have the money. I can buy it.
No, you cannot. That's our main job, (0:53) setting the right expectations. And then also really to narrow down, okay, what are you looking for?
